Shovel Knight

As retro games become more and more popular, I'd like to talk about a current gen release that echoes the retro games of the past. Shovel Knight is an amazing 8 bit side scroller adventure that feels like something right out of the original Nintendo era, I hear gamers say they like the simple controls and fun times of the old games and that's exactly what this game provides, it has simple controls and cool boss fights at the R d of the levels, your on a quest as usual but you'll enjoy using your trusty shovel to dig up jewels and destroy the badguys,it's got a huge instruction book included with all the cool pics and descriptions of the heroes and villains that is sorely missed in game cases today, another nod to yesteryear. The game itself is great fun and had that megaman feel level after level. I play it on my wii u but it's available on the other systems as well and is nicely inexpensive. This is a game everyone needs to try and I promise you'll feel like your 10 years old again playing your first game again.5 out of 5 stars
