Game of the Year 2016 is halfway over and we have tons of great games coming on the backend of the year with the holiday rush of titles, but what about the amazing games we've seen in the first half of the year. Some games are on a different level than others and are easily included in game of the year talks. But what makes a game the best of the year? I think it comes down to everything, gameplay, graphics, controls, story and overall experience. Here's my shortlist of contenders so far. Uncharted 4:A Thieves End A huge swan song for Nathan Drake. Every Uncharted title has been incredible, and this first outing on the ps4 is no exception. From the fast and frantic multiplayer to the awesome campaign. Naughty Dog has become easily one of the top game developers around. And there catalog of titles is the reason why. The Uncharted games has easily become a flagship series for the PlayStation. A great game that everyone needs to play . Dark Souls 3 Brutally difficult and unforgiving. The latest dark souls game is bigger badder and harder. People have loved each sequel more and more. Said to be the final entry in the series this game is phenomenal through and through. The bosses are huge and deadly, the far away lands are breathtaking and ominous, another great game everyone deserves to try . The Division Part mmo part tactical shooter. The Division is one of my favorite new series. A little like Destiny in its approach which isn't a bad thing. The game is huge the story is believable and the gameplay is fun. The ability to customize every aspect of your player from your gear to weapons is a lot of fun. With constant support and huge DLC plans this game will be around for awhile. With huge releases still to come like No Mans Sky, Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1,and the hidden gems that will come out of nowhere, the title of game of the year is still up for grabs, it's an exciting time to be a gamer.
