The hard drive debacle

The hard drive debacle As the newest game systems have been out for awhile now, gamers have started to feel the stress of there hard drives getting full rather quickly. At one time a 500 gb hard drive seemed like way more than we needed. Fast forward to now and it's already full, with game installations, updates and dlc, hard drive space doesn't last long at all . I have the big 3 newest consoles and have already upgraded all the hard drives and have them already half full again. The system makers want to sell there systems as cheap as possible and including a minimal cheap hard drive is one way to do it. It used to be memory cards and now to save your precious progress it's hard drives. With the price of systems, games and accessories, hard drive upgrades can be very expensive. Gaming nowadays is getting to be a hobby that's hard to afford for the casual fan. Just as PCs change and evolve overnight, consoles are constantly changing as well. Long gone are the days of buying a new system that included 2 controllers a light gun and 2 free games with the ability to save your game without memory cards. Now it's barebones on what's included but the price tag is triple what it was just ten years ago. As long as we continue to shell out for the newest systems the big 3 companies will find new ways to minimize what we get for more money. Upgrading your hard drives can be done relatively easy for all major systems and can range in price depending on the size and speed you choose, for those who can afford it, it's a great option to not having to delete game progress but those who don't have to pick and choose what to keep. Hopefully this issue will be addressed in the future. It's a fun hobby but seems to be getting harder to keep up with. The Champ @jsquyres33
