Silent Hill: What's next?

Silent Hill is one of my favourite horror franchises. There are some really good titles in the line and there are a few no so good entries as well. But what's next? We haven't seen a new game yet on the powerful new systems as of yet and fans are still let down by the whole p.t. Konami-Kojima drama that happened recently. As big of an icon as the series is to millions of fans it's hard to believe that there not working on a new entry. Maybe a series reboot or a sequel or standalone title would certainly be a welcome addition to everyone's growing library of games . But what direction should they go? The latest entries in the Resident Evil series have been more action focused and have slowly started moving away from the original survival horror. Silent Hill has gone through a few different types of survival horror themes over its run but what do the fans want? More foggy creepiness? More action oriented gameplay? Or a mix of both? I personally would like to see something along the lines of the infamous p.t. demo we saw awhile back, just a terrifying game that you can't put down and literally scares you. We need a new era of horror that we haven't seen before, the kind of psychological horror silent hill started off with, a real modern day haunted house simulator. Konami is capable of doing great things and let's hope they learned from the p.t. demo, that fans want that heart pounding scary feel from a game. It's your turn now Konami, don't let us down.
